K - 5 Teachers


Ms. Mooney

Mrs. Mooney brings her compassion and understanding to her students daily. She believes that everyone learns at their own pace and in their own way. She uses her love of learning and her passion for teaching to find each student’s way, to help them achieve their personal best. Mrs. Mooney graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a BA in Exceptional Student Education and has an AA in Early Childhood Education. She is trained in Montessori Education Pre-K – Elementary and in the Wilson Reading System, is certified by the state of Florida in Elementary Education Pre K – 3 and in Exceptional Student Education. Mrs. Mooney, a lifetime Northern Palm Beach County resident, uses her spare time to care for horses, read, draw, bike and take long walks with her dog Grady.

Ms. Goode-McDaniel

Ms. Goode was born in New Hampshire and moved to Florida with her family when she was thirteen. She attended University of Central Florida where she earned a BA in Elementary Education and a Minor in Special Education. While there she was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and volunteered at after school programs for underprivileged children.
Ms. Goode joined the GSOTA family in 2014 and was so overjoyed for the opportunity to teach Kindergarten. She feels that Kindergarten can be among the most magical and formative years of a child’s life. It is where a student’s educational journey begins and where many children are exposed to first-time friendships that teach important life skills like compromise, teamwork, and sharing. In her classroom, Ms.Goode works to create a world of wonderment that encourages her students to love learning and being together!
When Ms. Goode is not teaching she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is a member of the University of Central Florida Alumni Club as well as the American German Club of the Palm Beaches. Ms. Goode and her boyfriend have two Labrador Retrievers Koby and Lola who they love to spoil!

1st Grade

Mrs. Signorelli

Mrs. Signorelli was born and raised in Boston, MA. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education at Southern New Hampshire University and her Master's in Reading at Florida Atlantic University. She has taught in Thailand for a year and in Florida since 2010. Mrs. Signorelli had wanted to be a teacher since she was a first grader herself. She has a drive to reach the whole child and ensure her students feel safe, loved, and educated. She is married with two sons, Parker and Hunter. When she is not teaching, she enjoys being outside, spending time with family. She loves the beach, the zoo, and practicing yoga.

Ms. Boatman

Ms. Boatman was born in Miami, FL, and she has lived in northern Palm Beach County since 2008. She attended Florida State University where she earned her degree in Communication with a minor in History. Ms. Boatman spent 12 years in Marketing Communications before coming to her true calling: Teaching. She combines her experience with technology in the professional world with her passion for educating young children. Ms. Boatman joined the GSOTA family in 2017. Along with teaching, she enjoys boating, snorkeling, horses and other animals, and spending time with friends and family.

2nd Grade

Ms. Ciampi

Math & Science

Ms. Ciampi received her Bachelor of Arts in Child Psychology, with a concentration in Child Development and a minor in Spanish, from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University. In 2002, Ms. Ciampi was accepted into the Mental Health Counseling Graduate Program at the Derner Institute, where she studied The Psychology of the Exceptional Child and Child Development. It was during this time, she discovered her passion for teaching. Before moving to Palm Beach Gardens in 2013, Ms. Ciampi taught in Early Childhood and Primary Education in New York for 11 years. Ms. Ciampi teaches Second Grade Math and Science with lots of STEM and Fun built in! She believes her classroom should be a place of acceptance, expression and creative freedom. Ms. Ciampi is also the yearbook editor and the parent liaison on the GSOTA Governing Board. Ms. Ciampi lives in Palm Beach Gardens, with her dog, Jeter.

Ms. Callow

ELA & Social Studies

This is Ms. Callow's first year at GSOTA, but she is certainly not new to teaching. This marks Ms. Callow's 12th year teaching in primary education. Ms. Callow earned her Bachelor of Arts in Child Development, with a minor in Education from Florida State University. After growing up in a family of educators, Ms. Callow made the natural transition to teaching. When you walk into Ms. Callow's classroom, you will feel her atmosphere or warmth, growth, and engagement. In addition to being passionate about education, Ms. Callow loves running, reading, football and her family. Go Dolphins and Seminoles!!Ms. Callow is thrilled to be joining the GSOTA family for the 2021-2022 school year!

3rd Grade

Mrs. Hilliard

ELA & Social Studies

Mrs. Hilliard was born and raised in Palm Beach Gardens. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2009 with her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She is certified by the state of Florida in Elementary Education, ESOL and Reading.
Mrs. Hilliard has taught the intermediate grades for many years. Since a child, she always had a passion for becoming a teacher. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, and being outdoors. She is married with two sons and a golden retriever.

Ms. Hicks

Math & Science

Ms. Hicks earned her degree in biology from the University of Rhode Island. She also competed for the University’s gymnastics team. After having children of her own, Ms. Hicks discovered a love for teaching. She is passionate about sharing her math and science knowledge with her students! She spent many years teaching preschool until transitioning to primary. Her respect for GSOTA runs deep, two of her sons are GSOTA graduates and one is currently in the middle school program. She enjoys being both a GSOTA parent and teacher!
Ms. Hicks loves to travel and has lived in many places throughout the US. She now calls Jupiter Farms her home. She loves spending time in her yard, walking the local trails with her dog, Izzy, and cooking up yummy foods.

4th Grade

Mrs. Goldsmith

Math & Science

Mrs. Goldsmith was born in California and has lived all over the United States. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She graduated from the College of Southern Idaho with a Technical Certificate in Science, the University of Utah with a Bachelors’ degree in Speech Communications/Disorders, and from Weber State University with a Bachelors’ degree in Elementary Education/Special Education. She has also obtained her English as a Second Language Endorsement, Educational Technology Endorsement and her STEM Elementary Endorsement. She has always believed that teaching and learning go hand in hand. In order to become a teacher, it is important to exceed one's own limits by gaining knowledge and that we should never stop learning. She believes that to be most effective as an educator, she needs to create a safe environment that is interactive, collaborative, promotes problem-solving and critical thinking skills. She is a teacher who strives to affect the youth and empower them to achieve and become all that is within their ability.

Mrs. McCann

ELA & Social Studies

Mrs. McCann was born on a military base in Honolulu, Hawaii and grew up in South Florida. She began her teaching career in 2004 and has her master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with Specialization in ESL. She has taught K, 1, 3, 4, and 5 in public, private, and now charter schools. Mrs. McCann lives in Jupiter with her husband, Michael, and their two children who also attend GSOTA.

5th Grade

Ms. Berbenich

Math & Science

Ms. Berbenich has 20 years of experience teaching at the Elementary level in grades K, 3, 4 & 5. She received a BA in Philosophy and Education from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY. She also completed a Masters degree in Education from Molloy College in Rockville Centre, NY. Ms B began teaching at GSOTA in 2013. Her two children, Gianna and Will have attended GSOTA since Kindergarten and are currently in Middle School. Ms. B loves incorporating STEM activities into her lessons and encouraging students to get messy with their learning. Her teaching philosophy is simple, “work hard and be nice to people”.

Mr. Sherman

ELA & Social Studies

Mr. Sherman is one of the newest members to our team, teaching ELA and Social Studies for 5th grade. He has taught all over Palm Beach County, in both Elementary Education as well as Drama for older students. Mr. Sherman earned his Bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University. He is thrilled to join the team, and to call GSOTA home.
