K-5 Teachers

Debbie Bosic - Kindergarten Homeroom/Reading/Writing/Math
Ms. Bosic always wanted to be a teacher. She often played “school” with her younger sisters and she was always the teacher. So her parents were surprised when she started an electrical engineering degree program at the University of Pittsburgh. The engineering didn’t work out (big surprise) and she graduated with a degree in Economics. After getting married, Ms. Bosic decided to go back to school and do what she loves: she enrolled in a Music Education program at Towson University in Baltimore, MD. After graduation, Ms. Bosic taught high school music in Harford County, MD. She also had a flute studio with 25 students and taught Kindermusik classes. After moving up and down the East Coast for her husband’s job, her family moved to Virginia where there wasn’t an elementary band program, so Ms. Bosic decided to work toward her Elementary K-6 certification. She completed the program then moved to Florida where she started teaching at Dwight D. Eisenhower Elementary School in a mixed grade 4/5 Montessori classroom. Her second year she moved to a Kindergarten Montessori classroom and stayed in that school and grade level for 8 more years. This year is her first year at GSOTA, and her 9th year teaching Kindergarten. When Ms. Bosic talks about “her kids” with her friends, they always ask, “Which kids?  Your school kids or your children?” She still plays her flute in the Marionettes Flute Choir, the Odyssey Winds, and the Palm Beach Gardens Concert Band.
